Solar Feed-in Tariff Comparison

Writer: SC SolarSC Solar

Updated: Jul 25, 2022

A solar feed-in tariff or FiT refers to how much you are paid per kWh of electricity when you export excess energy from your solar system to the grid.

A FiT means that as well as generating your own electricity you can also earn a small income on it.

If you live in South East Queensland, there is no mandated rate for electricity exported to the grid. Instead, electricity retailers offer competitive, market-based tariff rates, so it's best to shop around.

See attached the Top 3 feed-in tariff rates QLD and the Top 4 feed-in tariff rates with the major power retailers (as at 10 June 2022)
