Our local Peregian Beach client recently installed a SolarEdge battery and is using the power it is producing for complete self-consumption.
Their house is using power from the battery at night and then during the day, the battery is recharged, ready to power the house again in the evening.
Not all batteries provide backup power. But the SolarEdge Battery does with their backup interface unit. Since many solar battery storage systems do not come with backup functionality, a special inverter needs to be used to provide backup power to some battery systems, but not all.
